With the Fall schedule of games rapidly approaching, the Redding Youth Soccer League has posted their schedules! Schedules can be generated for an age group or just your team to make things easier.

All of the games (home games only for the U12 & above teams) for the Redding Youth Soccer League this fall will once again be played at the beautiful Redding Soccer Park. With the all weather turf, playground and clean bathrooms, the Redding Soccer Park is an unmatched facility in the North State and a great place to play soccer! While the players and coaches are admitted free, there will be a $2 gate fee per day gate fee for spectators over the age of 12. Your entry fee will get you a $1 token for use at Strikers snack bar.

OPENING CEREMONIES

This year's opening ceremonies will be held on Friday, August 22nd and will once again be held at the Redding Soccer Park, where we will be playing our games. New this year is the start time. The parade will start a little later to make it easier for families to get there in time for the parade. The parade will start at 7 pm with the players needing to arrive at 6:30 pm. The Redding Soccer Park will be opening their gates at 5:30 for those that would like to take advantage of the numerous activities and food vendors at the Park for the opening ceremonies.

The Redding Kaos Vortex recently swept the Folsom Cup Classic with a shutout in the Championship game. The Vortext went undefeated and had the highest point total of all the divisions! Congratulations guys!

Due to the extreme and highly variable air quality conditions in the Redding area owing to the smoke from the area fires, the Redding Youth Soccer League Board of Directors has recently implemented the following policy:

The Redding Youth Soccer League will inform all coaches that for the duration of the fire season, outdoor activities involving physical activity (practice, scrimmages, games, etc.) will only be permitted when the RYSL website (http://www.reddingsoccer.com) indicates it is ok to play. The website will be updated as often as possible based on an AQI reading of 151 or less. League members will also be notified of this policy and will understand that if they decide not to attend such events based on health concerns (some may fall into the category of special health circumstances) the player may not be penalized playing time or the like by the coach. We will make our best effort to update the web site early enough each day for coaches to make an informed decision prior to their scheduled event.
